Founded in 2011, American Hometown Media (AHM) is a digital media company. Based in Nashville, Tenn., AHM transfers traditional publishing DNA to internet platforms featuring food and lifestyle through everyday home cooks.
Putting the spotlight on these unsung heroes is the "secret sauce" that propels us.
Just A Pinch Food Group is a Premium Publisher Group (PPG)... a select group of food-only bloggers. The "next generation" and beyond the modern day networks.
Bloggers that tire of moderate service, poor monetization, and missing out on true publishing expertise have an alternative home. As publishers ourselves, we know what to do... and we love to share the tribal knowledge! From site construction, maintenance and updates to social media trends and best ad practices... your problems are our problems. We provide timely data on your revenues and are your coach, friend and partner.
In addition to unmatched service, the Just A Pinch Food Group provides top-market CPM, eCPM and RPM revenues just as we do for our own sites. We are not a network but a PPG and the last relationship you will ever need.
Those select few that partner with us receive opportunities for ownership providing certainty of being rewarded for all the hard work you do. Another first in the industry... it is one of our key differentiators.
Highest RPMs in the industry — Often up to 100% increase from what you received previously.
Best payment terms in the business. And we always pay on time... you even get notified the day before the ACH is sent.
We are NOT a network. We are a Premium Publisher Network (PPG) and like you, we are a food publisher. From product to service we are superior.
We are an exclusive food-blogger-only PPG meaning you are not one of hundreds or thousands — you are one of a select few.
We actively work with our partners to enhance their business…you speak directly with us instead of being shielded behind email.
Best dashboard around. Everything in one spot, including daily performance and RPM’s, graphs, charts, statements, payments…even Google Analytics.
We've partnered with industry-leading and award winning food videographers... the videos and awards speak for themselves.
We share our bloggers' content through our own social media accounts, our millions of daily emails and on the homepage of www.JustAPinch.com — no one else can do this!
Just A Pinch Recipes is a digital recipe & coupon vertical social network with a focus on home cooks.
Just A Pinch Recipes (JustAPinch.com) is one of the largest non-major media owned food sites and is the largest repository of user-posted recipes on the internet. Over 500,000 recipes have been posted by home cooks around the country and worldwide.
Designed from the ground up to be a true social network within itself and through connectivity to other social platforms, the website was engineered using best practices of the major horizontal social networks. Unmatched site programming and proprietary functionality allow home cooks to utilize sophisticated end-user capabilities including drag-and-drop technology to build menu planners and grocery lists, an illustrated "home kitchen" to showcase all site activity, and page-turning technology to edit custom cookbooks, all behind an easy-to-use skinning with a touch of nostalgia and whimsy. Moreover, members utilize this platform with some of the deepest levels of engagement to create networks of friends and relationships around posting, swapping and discussing thousands of recipes, sharing cooking tips, earning blue ribbons, printing grocery coupons, creating custom cookbooks, engaging in e-commerce and more.
Referred to by members as "the Facebook of recipes," Just A Pinch actually captures the recipe swapping and sharing, personal conversation and camaraderie that takes place between family and friends around kitchen tables and transfers it to the digital space. With some 40,000+ recipes added by members annually, Just A Pinch is the largest true crowd-sourced recipe site featuring authentic user-generated content.

Dan Hammond's career has centered around media. All three of the companies he founded have focused on celebrating the good news story in hometowns and food across America. Couple this theme of community content with a solid background in advertising and marketing, and Hammond has found a recipe for success.
Before founding American Hometown Media, Hammond was the founder of American Hometown Publishing (AHP), which acquires and manages local community newspapers by forming partnerships with local publishers. Through these efforts, AHP helps improve business operations, increase profits and build readership among its paper partners.
Prior to forming AHP, Hammond was the founder, chairman, president and CEO of Publishing Group of America, where he oversaw the creation and launch of American Profile magazine, the largest successful magazine launch in U.S. history, followed by Relish magazine, the largest epicurean magazine in the U.S., with an uncommon focus on American hometown people, communities and food. He also created Hometown Content, the first syndicated service for community newspapers and developed a channel for promotional advertisers to reach Neilson C&D America. Hammond and company sold Publishing Group of America to Bain Capital and Shamrock Capital Partners in November of 2007.
Earlier in his career, Hammond served as the senior marketing officer for a number of Fortune 500 operations. He has directed strategic marketing and media services for national and internationally based consumer and business advertisers, including DuPont, McGregor, Bostonian, NOMA, Clarks of England, Dial Corp. and Ceridian. He serves on various advisory groups and boards including the Tennessee Wildlife Federation and the Tennessee Rugby Foundation.
Mike Meyers’ twenty-five year career has been focused in publishing. First analog and then digital media including specialty magazines to websites. Mike has run publishing, operations, revenue generation, business development, network strategy and general management duties including co-founding Sheknows, LLC as CEO of one of the largest women’s lifestyle and advertising networks. Sheknows was successfully grown from concept to 20 million monthly unique visitors and subsequently sold to Evolve Media, LLC.
Saying Mike is an expert in digital media is certainly an understatement. Adding to his repertoire is the fact that having built and run plenty of network models, he has helped create the modern-day network platform concept here at Just a Pinch/American Hometown Media making it a publisher first concept.
Heralding from Wisconsin, media endeavors have taken Mike from the upper Midwest including Chicago, through Phoenix, San Francisco and the Western US, to New Orleans, Atlanta and the deep South, and now placing his roots in the Mid-South of Nashville, Tennessee.
Doli Stepniewski brings with him more than 25 years experience in application design, development and management. Stepniewski is currently CTO for American Hometown Media and Chief Application & Database Architect for Just A Pinch Recipes.
Prior to joining AHM, Stepniewski served as Chief Architect and partner at echomusic, LLC (echo), an entertainment marketing company in Nashville, Tennessee, where he led the development of the patent-pending echotools™, a web application and database that powered more than 300 entertainment brand websites and managed over 20 million consumer records. In February 2007 Ticketmaster purchased echo and the echotools™ which became part of Ticketmaster’s direct-to-consumer ticket sales platform.
In addition to his media work, Stepniewski has developed custom applications for an array of industries. As Interactive Producer at direct marketing company SmartDM (Acxiom), he created compelling web-based data collection portals for their proprietary online CRM solution. And early in his career, he worked at Philadelphia-based Resources for Human Development where he developed custom database applications to manage properties for the HUD funded HOPE3 program, providing home ownership opportunities to hundreds of low-income families.

Thanks so much for the video call! It was nice to see and hear everyone. I appreciate all of the updates and information. The additional details and upcoming plans were all very encouraging. Let me say that I am very happy with how the ads really turned after October. The RPMs looked good and you did great handling any re-direct issues and problems that popped up. I'm also encouraged with the RPMs I am seeing for January!

Just A Pinch Recipes
This is the only site I use on a regular basis. You can find recipes anywhere. It is the people that make this the best site on the web.
I've visited a lot of the cooking sites out there and was even a chef consultant to one of the biggest, but I left because I just couldn't stand how people treated each other. Look around... this site is unique. We have our own personal recipe home page, we have blogs where we can fellowship with each other. We can send each other private messages. I could go on... In a world of cooking sites, we are unique.
I became a member several years ago. I just wanted to thank you for this site. It allows me to share with my son who is in the Navy and 3000 miles away. He knows now that my recipes will never be gone! You are doing so much more than just a recipe site, you are bringing families together via FOOD :)
